There are a lot of suggestions out there, but how do you find the ultimate sustainable blazer? Well, youโre in luck. Thatโs exactly what we have on todayโs menu.
I donโt need to explain that being green and shopping sustainably is not a trend. Itโs more of a lifestyle, right? It takes time and a lot of research. Itโs not easy, but in the end, you do feel and look good. Which is, you know, great! Whatโs even better is building the perfect capsule wardrobe without spending thousands of dollars and hours online before finding the pieces you need.
To be honest, I wish someone had done this for me, but Iโm thankful Iโve finally got it sorted, anyway. As there are many options online claiming to be versatile or eco-friendly, or, for the love of God, timeless, without even checking basic boxes, Iโve carefully rounded up nine multifunctional pieces that youโll (hopefully) love.
Yeah, itโs possible to look stylish, chic, elegant, and just damn fierce all the time. Let me teach you how to dougie. And by dougie, I mean how to score the best sustainable blazer.
THE SUSTAINABLE BLAZER THAT WILL COMPLETE YOUR CAPSULE WARDROBE:
1. The 80s Italian Wool Blazer by Everlane
Speaking from personal experience, I can confirm that this is THE BEST all-year-round Everlane blazer in my wardrobe. Iโve had it for some time now, and itโs safe to say that it was love at first sight.
I sized up for a relaxed fit, so I can wear it as a sustainable blazer dress with a belt around the waist, but you have dozens of other options โ sports bra and light-washed denim for sexy date night (like Gigi Hadid) or with pleated pants to complete the total office look ร la Jessica Alba. Yes, it would cost you a few dinners (and lunches) out, but itโs SO worth it!
2. Oversized Responsible Wool Hopsack Blazer by ARKET
You may think Iโm overreacting… over every single piece. Thatโs okay. I always feature pieces that I either need to have ASAP or that are personal favorites of mine. Such as this one by ARKET, which I got just recently.
It has already become my ultimate spring/summer/warm weather outerwear staple. The subtle geometric texture certainly looks amazing, but what youโll love โ besides the fact weโre talking about an ethical blazer and sustainable wool blazer at the same time โ are the color variations. Of course, I opted for the beige, but it would be a lie if I said the green and lilac didnโt tempt me as well. Iโm only human, after all.

3. & Other Stories Oversized RWS Wool Blazer
My frequent readers (hi to you!) would know that Iโm obsessed, literally OBSESSED, with the RWS blazers from & Other Stories.
They are a wonderful investment because the quality is outstanding. The fit as well! If you donโt agree that they are one of the best sustainable blazer brands, I guess we canโt be friends.
Although we talked about it in the past, The Responsible Wool Standard could be considered a fashion industry tool designed to point out the eco-friendly practices in the field. I would love to see this blazer with some chinos and a pair of white sneakers. Wouldnโt you!? Of course, you would.
4. Kinsale Blazer Set from Reformation
No matter how many times I go back and forth, I always come back to Reformation. Hey, donโt put the blame on me. Put it in this so-stunning-almost-out-of-this-world sustainable blazer set.
Featuring an oversized blazer draped over wide-leg pants, I see it as the one and only suit you need in your wardrobe, especially if devoted to the sustainable perspective. If so, you should know that 1,426 gal. of water was saved in the process of its making.
I guess your credit card would cringe *a little* at checkout, but you can wear it literally anywhere โ to business meetings, summer parties, or to one of Kourtney Kardashianโs many weddings with Travis Barker.
5. Acacia Blazer from FOR DAYS
If the capsule wardrobe was a magazine, the Acacia blazer from FOR DAYS would be on the cover. Does that make sense? I hope so.
Made of 50% organic and 50% recycled cotton, in the process of its production it uses 88% less water and 62% less energy compared to other fast fashion examples. A true eco friendly womens blazer!
The fit is relaxed and a bit oversize, so itโs perfect for any time of the year and a good starting point if layering is finally a part of your know-how. It should be. In case you are about to splurge on some new fashion findings, maybe itโs good to know that it comes with matching shorts.
6. The Blazer Dress by VETTA Capsule
Itโs absolutely fine if you picture Olivia Wilde right after giving this blazer dress a fast glance, but what spirals in my head are the endless outfit combinations you can put it into straight away.
Iโm about to spill a secret, so you know that Iโm always thinking of you when doing my research. This is not just the regular, boring oversized blazer. Itโs a blazer that you can wear as a sustainable blazer jacket, as a dress, AND as a vest. You can get it in black or with a plaid design all over it, but itโll look *insane* both with heels and with sneakers. With a T-shirt or with nothing underneath.
Circling back to Olivia, letโs just say that Harry Styles (the new album is fire!) would invite you to his house if you are wearing it.

7. Ferran Tie Detail Blazer by ALIGNE
Buttermilk yellow. Thatโs the most precise color definition of the Ferran Tie Detail Blazer. Adding it to your cart would make you look all put-together and like your life is completely under control, even if you are thousands of miles away from that.
Itโs made of recycled materials, so you are not only contributing to your impeccable Pinterest board, but also to Mother Earth. The fixed side tie is just a cute bonus. And what a bonus it is! Even though Iโve said it before, donโt trust people who say you cannot wear a suit with sports shoes โ this will look fire with a pair of chunky bright sneakers. Go Google sustainable blazers nike, and youโll see what I mean.
8. EILEEN FISHER Organic Cotton Ponte Long Blazer
Enter the classic blazer, but with a longer silhouette. In other words, this piece by Eileen Fisher is perfect and tends to compliment every body type for every occasion.
Available in a wide range of sizes from XXS to 3XL, it will lure you in with an open front, patch pockets, and structured ponte. I donโt want to interfere with what Anna Wintour might think or say out loud, but I believe weโll see this type of fashion choice more and more often moving ahead. Jennifer Aniston and Alexa Chung have already jumped in, so itโs only a question of when. If you are like me and always love being prepared in advance, do it with this womens organic cotton blazer.
9. Quince Organic Cotton Knit Blazer
Itโs so old-fashioned to choose between quality and price. Especially if you donโt need to. This cotton knit blazer is the best of both worlds. Itโs like Zendaya in ‘Dune’ โ you blink, and you would miss the real deal.
Consider it the more affordable alternative to Eileen Fisherโs suggestion from above. With relaxed, unstructured fit and bracelet-length sleeves (add some white gold jewelry for extra sparkles), you can mix and match it with hundreds of different pieces you already have at your disposal.
No hazardous substances were used in the making, but the love with its rich color could surely be hazardous. Who knew achieving the perfectly polished look was so easy?
Now, if thatโs not enough to get you excited about a new blazer, I donโt know what is. Iโm confident you will find something youโll love from this list. Do you think thereโs something Iโve missed? Feel free to throw me some suggestions on Instagram. As always, you can show me your styling by posting your blazer pics and tagging me. I want to see all the sustainable blazer women bossing their awesome style.
