Are you even on lockdown if you haven’t tried the famous DALGONA COFFEE yet?
As a massive coffee lover, I just had to hop on the quarantine trend and make the whipped coffee drink that’s everywhere on Instagram (and TikTok).
It turned out pretty well for my first try, so I thought I would share my recipe with you. It’s really easy to make because all you need is: instant coffee, sugar, and an electric mixer or a whisk.
I made it with:
I poured all of the ingredients into a bowl and I used a hand mixer like this one to blend them until I got a thick and creamy mixture. After that, I poured it over cold oat milk with ice. My absolute favourite vegan milk for coffee is Oatly The Barista Edition, I can’t recommend it enough. Et voilà!
You would have noticed that this recipe has 5 tsp. of boiling water which is 3 tsp. more than you will find elsewhere. This, my lovelies, is the secret to achieving that luxurious velvety foam. I found that the extra few tea spoons of water allowed more air to mix with the coffee, creating more bubbles and as a result – a thicker foam!
Honestly, I can drink Dalgona coffee every day. It’s so good! You should definitely try it.
