Imagine summer outfits that are so simple and easy to throw on as they are made up of basics you most likely already have in your own wardrobe. Summer looks that are so comfy but still turn heads and get likes on the gram. It’s not easy for everyone to create these kinds of looks. Have the right pieces is one thing. Knowing how to put them together is another. Do the colours match? Can I wear a blazer with sandals? How do I know if I should wear shorts or a skirt?
So many questions that by the time you’ve answered them all the season is over, and you’re wondering what to wear this fall. It would be much easier to have your questions answered quickly and in style.
You want summer outfit ideas that casually stand out, subtly steal the show, and have people asking “Where did you get it?”. If you’ve been looking for outfits like this, then girl, you’re in the right place!

White T-Shirt + Blazer + Denim Skirt
Recreate this look:
Whether you’re a t-shirt + denim skirt kind of person, or you prefer to wear shorts instead, you’ll look fantastic by adding a smart neutral coloured blazer to your ensemble. It will elevate the whole look and give you this cool ‘girl boss’ vibe. My denim skirt is from ASOS, but here’s another more sustainable option from Everlane.
Personally, I’d pair it with simple white trainers like this, but you can also go for flat beige strappy sandals, GUCCI slippers or even classy Converse sneakers. Your style, your choice! Just don’t forget the basics (white t-shirt + blazer + denim skirt) and you will be fine. These are the kind of summer outfits Pinterest loves.
Cropped Blazer + Shorts Suit
Recreate this look:
Moving on to something more fun but equally eye-catchy, minimalistic and stylish. Cropped jackets will be a huge fashion trend this summer, so this cropped blazer from ASOS will be a great addition to your closet if you don’t have one already. It’s cute, easy to wear, and you can actually make a lot of use of it by styling it with so many different pieces, such as maxi linen skirts and dresses, mom jeans, leggings or wide pants.
I love summer fits that are versatile and go well with everything else in my wardrobe. This two-piece suit is one of them.

(Faux) Leather Shorts + Oversized T-Shirt
Recreate this look:
Seems like leather shorts are going to be another big trend in summer 2021. So here’s a cute casual summer outfit idea for how to wear them. Just throw on an oversized t-shirt (you can steal your boyfriend’s one), sports socks for a 90s vibes and your favourite pair of white trainers.
Personally, I’d go for faux leather shorts (instead of real leather) for two reasons. First, I really don’t think any animals need to die for fashion (or in general).
Secondly, this look might seem cool and Pinterest-worthy, but let me tell you, you don’t want to be wearing anything like leather – real or not – on a really hot summer day. Unless you want to find yourself in a situation like Ross from Friends, I wouldn’t advise you to try this outfit when it’s boiling hot outside. As far as cute summer outfits go, you can still wear it on a cooler day or for an evening walks as the sun sets.
White Wide Pants + White Sports Bra
Recreate this look:
Who said that sports bras are just for training? Not me! Wearing your beloved sports bra as a top is a wonderful idea if you feel comfortable with it. Have one similar to mine in white? Good! Have white wide pants too? Great! Now, pair them together for a relaxed casual beach look. You can never go wrong with an all-white ensemble in the summer. As long as there are no sangria mishaps whilst you’re basking in the Santorini vibes that come with an outfit like this.
However, if you feel anxious that your upper half might be too exposed, just throw on a white linen shirt and this casual summer outfit is good to go.
Pleated Skirt + Vest Top + Sweater
Recreate this look:
Vest tops are crucial to a well-curated summer wardrobe. Just adding a cute pleated skirt to the ensemble, you now have a winning combination. Stylish, minimal and chic. What else can a girl want when it comes to an outfit? Accessories are optional, but simple bracelets are definitely a good idea. I got mine from Thomas Sabo. You can also add a pair of more extravagant sunnies if you’re feeling brave and playful. When it comes to summer outfits for girls, you have so many options for what to add or leave out. You know you best, so give things a try, check yourself in the mirror, ask your best friend, and find the combinations that make your best cute outfits for summer.
Mid-Length 90s Denim Shorts + Oversized Sweater
Recreate this look:
Some cool 90’s fashion trends are back in style, like the mid-length denim shorts. I remember wearing a similar pair when I was younger and to be honest I really don’t mind bringing them back in the game. Style them with a nice oversized sweater for Princess Di vibes. Mine are from here but if you’re looking for a more sustainable option, go for the AGOLDE ones. I’m saving for them too. It’s definitely a worthwhile investment as this is an item that will serve you for years to come.
Button Down Shirt + Linen Shorts
Recreate this look:
I like go-to outfits that always work all the time, and this is one of them. It’s perfect for a summer holiday, casual beach walk, dinner date, and even for travelling! Linen is the best fabric for summer clothes as it is breathable, and it keeps you cool. Get your hands on a pair of linen shorts that suit your personal style as this piece will go right into your summer wardrobe essentials. You can wear it with everything and anything in the hot season. I like styling them with a button down white shirt and white slides for a more sophisticated look or with my beloved Converse if I’m in a casual, ‘just want to look cool’ mood.
Neutral Dad Pants + Black Top
Recreate this look:
If you’re a minimalist, you’ll love this look! Couldn’t help myself, I had to style at least one summer outfit with neutral coloured dad’s pants. I kept it super simple and minimalistic, so you can use this idea as a base for your own look, or alternatively you can totally wear it as it is. If you decide to use it as a base, just add your favourite jewellery, throw on a blazer or a button down shirt, shoes of your choice, and finish it off with an elegant pair of sunglasses. Something like this or that. You’ll totally rock it! This looks screams ‘I have my life put together, so don’t mess with me.’
