Most mobile devices nowadays can keep track of how much you’re using it. Take a look every so often. You may notice a correlation between how much stress you’re feeling and how much time you’re spending online. Set limits. Learn how to manage social media stress by managing your time.

3. Be mindful of expectations
It’s easy to think that we need to show off our best selves in order to be seen in a positive light, but in reality, no one probably cares. At least not as much as you do. When social media first came along, it was mainly for sharing pictures of times with friends, with those friends who were actually there. A great way to deal with stress in general. I find it a great way to recenter myself when social media stresses me out. There are a few different kinds, but a simple breathing-focused meditation does wonders. Take some time out, get comfy, and keep your attention on the breath. Only the breath.
6. Talk to someone
When it comes to stress on social media and depression, it’s highly recommended to talk about it. Too often, we can isolate ourselves by keeping our problems to ourselves. It may be cliché, but it’s true that a problem shared is a problem halved. You’re not expecting someone to fix the problem. Talking about it just helps to get rid of some of the weight, and provides some social media stress relief. You may realize you’re not alone in how you feel, and that others go through similar situations.
