This morning when I took out my favorite, but the most uncomfortable pair of high heels that I have, from my closet, I thought about the fact how often we do the wrong choices when the vanity is involved.
I mean, for example, have you ever noticed how frequently we buy the most beautiful shoes in the store, although they hurt our feet, as the same way as we let the wrong people in our lifes, just because they look so perfect and they could be The Ones. But once, when we get them, we start trying to change them, because they are just not good enough for us, exactly like the shoes, which are too small and don’t fit our feet. “No problem” – says the vanity in us- “you will deform them and they will become perfect”.
Actually, the problem comes after a while when we become sick of pain and sore feet, and we decide to throw out our favorite pair of shoes as the same way as we achieved them – fast and reckless.
Because when the mind takes the floor, the vanity hides in the corner.

Вадейки днес от дрешника си най-красивия, но най-неудобен чифт обувки, който притежавам, за разходка из града с новата си рокля, се замислих над това колко често грешим в изборите си, когато е намесена суетата. А тя за съжаление, дори старателно прикрита, присъства в по-голямата част от ежедневието ни. От дрехите, които носим, до хората, с които избираме да излизаме.
Проблемът идва от това, че се влюбваме в представи.
Както, например, купуваме най-красивите обувки в магазина, въпреки че ни причиняват болка, още щом ги обуем и знаем, че по-късно ще съжаляваме за глупостта си, така допускаме и напълно неподходящи, но пък на пръв поглед идеални хора в живота си, просто заради идеята, че това може да се окаже правилният човек. Какво от това, че нямаме нищо общо и сме тотално различни, ще се пробваме да го променим, за да пасне на характера ни, по същия начин както ще деформираме и перфектните обувки, защото, всъщност, не са чак толкова перфектни и малко ни стискат. Даже доста. И в крайна сметка в някакъв определен момент ще ни писне от болка, разранени стъпала и набързо залепени лепенки, ще ги вземем и ще ги изхвърлим по същия начин, както сме се сдобили с тях – бързо и необмислено.
Защото, когато разумът вземе думата, суетата се скрива в ъгъла.
